Structure
How the airline is organised, and where the gaps are — departments, the jobs in them, and who holds each.
Open People & access › Structure. Each department is a column with its jobs and the people holding them. People in nobody’s department are shown separately, so the gaps are visible.
Moving people
Section titled “Moving people”Drag a person onto a job to give it to them, or onto a department to place them there. It works with a mouse, and with a finger on an iPad.
A drag is a shortcut, not a different way of deciding: it makes exactly the same change as editing the person’s record, with the same checks. You cannot give a job you could not give from the record, or place somebody who has left.
Every person is also a link to their record, which does the same thing from a keyboard.
Why structure matters elsewhere
Section titled “Why structure matters elsewhere”- Findings are routed to the post-holder for a department.
- Independence in audits is read from the department tree: nobody audits their own department, or one above or beneath it.
- What people see in Findings and Insights follows the departments of the jobs they hold.
