Suspend, end access or mark as left
On hold and expected back is a different question from having gone. Wingcert keeps them apart, and closes the door properly when somebody leaves.
All of these are on the person’s record, under Access › How they get in.
| Action | Use it when | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Suspend access | Somebody is on long leave, under investigation, or between contracts. | They cannot sign in. Every live session ends at once. They show under Suspended. |
| Restore their access | They are back. | They can sign in again. |
| End access | They no longer need Wingcert, but still work here. | Access ends. Their record stays. |
| Withdraw invitation | They were invited but never arrived. | The emailed link stops working. |
Somebody who has not joined yet has nothing to suspend or end — withdraw the invitation instead.
Marking somebody as left
Section titled “Marking somebody as left”Under On the register, enter their Last day at the airline and select Mark as left. To do several at once, tick them on the list and use Mark as left with a Last day.
Marking somebody as left closes the door with them:
- an unopened invitation is withdrawn;
- live or suspended access is ended;
- they drop out of every list of who may act, the read-and-sign audiences and the testing population.
They are not deleted. Everything they did keeps their name, because the record of who did what has to stay true.
If they come back, open their record and select They are back.
Ending somebody’s access also needs Suspend or remove access, so somebody who can only edit the register cannot mark a person with live access as left.
