What I have to read
When a manual or procedure is issued to you, you read it and confirm. Your confirmation records the exact revision, the digest of its words, and the moment you signed.
You will be told under Assigned to me when something is issued to you — on the bell, on Today, and by email if you have it on. If it has a date, Due soon reminds you three days before, and again the day after if it is overdue.
Read and confirm
Section titled “Read and confirm”-
Open Documents › What I have to read, or select the item on Today.
-
Under Waiting on you, select Read it. Read any message the issuer left — usually what changed and why it matters to you.
-
When you have read it, tick I have read it and select Confirm.
It moves to Already confirmed, which lists your last 50 confirmations — each naming the digest of the words you actually confirmed.
The reading view
Section titled “The reading view”Read on any document opens it for reading, with:
- Contents — jump to any section;
- Search this document — find words anywhere inside it;
- Changed in this revision — what is new since the last approved revision, marked in the margin. Select Show the whole document to see everything again.
How it is laid out follows your Reading mode in Your profile: Working is dense and full-width for checking one procedure between tasks; Review is narrower and typographic for reading a manual end to end.
Reading in the viewer is not taking a copy, so nothing is stamped on it.
Where a section cites a regulation
Section titled “Where a section cites a regulation”Sections can name the paragraphs they satisfy, printed under the heading as, for example, [Ref: 145.A.70(a)(1)]. If a cited paragraph has been withdrawn or amended since, the reference says so — This paragraph is not in the edition currently in force — rather than going quiet.
