Your profile and preferences
Your profile is how colleagues see you. Your settings are how Wingcert looks and what it tells you. Neither is ever required before you can work.
Open the menu under your name and choose Your profile. It has two tabs, Profile and Settings.
Profile
Section titled “Profile”| Card | What it holds |
|---|---|
| You | Your name, organisation, department, station and the platforms you can open. |
| Your photo | Shown to colleagues beside your name. PNG or JPEG, cropped to a square. The copy Wingcert keeps carries none of the original’s hidden data, including where it was taken. Use Remove my photo to take it down. |
| Your signature | Applied to documents you approve or sign. Held encrypted, with a record of when you adopted it. Replace it with a new PNG (transparent background), draw it on a touch screen, or Withdraw my signature. |
| What you do here | The jobs you hold at your airline. These are granted by whoever administers access — you cannot change them here. |
| What you have been doing | Your recent activity, from the workspace’s audit trail. Only you and whoever administers access can see it. |
| Still to tell us | Anything missing, such as your timezone or the title you sign under. None of it stops you working. |
| Your WingcertID | Your passkeys, PIN, authenticator app and recognised devices live here, not in the workspace. See Your account page. |
Settings
Section titled “Settings”How this looks
Section titled “How this looks”These apply wherever you sign in to Wingcert.
- Theme — System follows your device; Light and Dark override it. You can also switch theme from the menu under your name without leaving the page.
- Density — Compact fits more rows on screen, Relaxed is easier to read one row at a time, and Default sits between them.
- Reading mode — Working is list-led and dense. Review is typographic, with a narrower measure, for reading a manual end to end.
Dates and times
Section titled “Dates and times”- Timezone — aviation runs on UTC, so that is the default. Choose Follow the organisation, or any zone from All timezones, if you would rather read dates locally.
- Date format — day first is the default, because that is what most operators write. Each option is shown as today’s date, so there is nothing to decode.
What reaches you
Section titled “What reaches you”Wingcert would rather send you three things you act on than thirty you learn to ignore. Turn each kind on or off:
| Kind | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Assigned to me | Something needs your response or signature — a manual issued to you to read, a finding to answer, an action to carry out or verify. |
| Due soon | Anything of yours approaching its date, or past it. |
| Weekly summary | One a week, and only when there is something to say. |
| People and access | Invitations, leavers, new starters querying their job, and changes to platform access — including your own. |
| Branding and settings | Changes to what your people see at sign-in and at the top of every Wingcert email. |
| Imports and long-running work | Work you started and walked away from. |
Select See an example beside any kind to see exactly what it looks like.
Email me as well as the bell decides whether the kinds worth an email also reach your inbox. Turning it off never costs you the notification — only the email.
Your signature
Section titled “Your signature”Title is printed beneath anything you sign on documents that leave the building. It is held against you rather than taken from your role, because a title on a signed document is a claim you are answerable for.
Select Save preferences when you are done.
