Corrective actions

Carry out a corrective action

An action is only done when there is something to show for it. The evidence you attach is what somebody independent judges it from.

Actions you own are in Corrective actions › Mine, and on Today under Waiting on you.

  1. Open the action, or its finding, and select Mark done.

  2. Under What was done, describe what actually happened — not what was planned.

  3. Under Evidence, attach what shows it: a revised procedure, a training record, a photo, a signed checklist. You cannot mark an action done without evidence.

  4. Save. The action moves to Done · to verify, and somebody who may verify it is told.

Ask yourself: would an inspector who has never met you accept this as proof?

  • A changed procedure — the new revision, issued, not a draft.
  • Training — the attendance record or certificate, with dates.
  • A physical fix — a photo, dated, showing the thing fixed.
  • A check done — the completed, signed record.

Files are kept in the vault, attached to this action. They can never be replaced — a new file is a new piece of evidence beside the old one.

If you see What it means
The finding’s plan is not in force. The plan has not been accepted yet.
Only somebody holding the post that owns the action, or the post answering the finding, may mark it done. It belongs to a different post.
