Short answers, each linking to the full guide.

There isn’t one. Wingcert signs you in with a passkey on your device, an authenticator app, a PIN on a recognised device, or a code emailed to you. See How signing in works.

You can’t — Wingcert is invite-only. Ask your compliance manager, or whoever administers access at your airline, to invite you.

Do I have to sign in separately to Training or the iPad app?

Section titled “Do I have to sign in separately to Training or the iPad app?”

No. One WingcertID covers every Wingcert platform. While you are signed in, moving between them does not ask again.

On a shared device, after 15 idle minutes — or 12 hours at most. On a personal device, after 30 days unused, or 90 days at most. The workspace also locks after 15 idle minutes, with a minute’s warning. See Step out or sign out.

Yes, with an authenticator app. A passkey cannot reach you through a remote desktop.

What you can open comes from your job. Ask whoever administers access at your airline to change your job, or give you another one. Wingcert support cannot grant access — your airline decides it.

Tell whoever set you up. During your first sign-in, select This isn’t right on Is this your job? — they are told, and you carry on.

They come from your airline’s record in WingcertID. Ask whoever administers access at your airline.

Turn off the kinds you do not need under Your profile › Settings › What reaches you, or turn off Email me as well as the bell. You keep the notifications on the bell either way.

Why does my PDF say “uncontrolled copy”?

Section titled “Why does my PDF say “uncontrolled copy”?”

Because you are not on the document’s controlled copy register. That is correct, and it is what makes the controlled copies mean something. See Controlled copies.

Can I change something after it is approved, closed or signed?

Section titled “Can I change something after it is approved, closed or signed?”

No — and that is the point. Approved revisions, closure notes, verdicts and signatures are evidence, so they are never edited. Open a new revision, reopen a finding as a new one, or add new evidence beside the old.

Long forms keep a draft on your device. Open the form again and select Restore them. See Working with a poor connection.
