Issue for reading
Put a revision on the right people's reading lists, with a message saying what changed. Wingcert keeps the record of who has read it — bound to the words, not just the revision number.
On the document’s page, choose the revision in force and select Issue for reading.
-
Who has to read it. Choose one or more:
- Everyone in the airline — on its own, since combining it with anything narrower would suggest a filter that is not there;
- Positions — whoever holds the job on the day it is issued;
- Departments and Stations;
- Named people — for anyone a group does not cover: an auditor, a contractor, the authority’s point of contact.
-
To be read by — optional. With no date nobody is chased. Do not invent a deadline: plenty of material is issued to be read when convenient.
-

Section 8.4 now requires a second signature on the release. -

Each person is told under Assigned to me, and it appears in their What I have to read.
Who it reaches
Section titled “Who it reaches”The choice is resolved once, on the day it is issued. Somebody joining next month is not added retrospectively — issue it again for them. Somebody who has never signed in to Wingcert cannot be told yet; the confirmation after issuing says how many could not be.
Following up
Section titled “Following up”The revision’s page lists every issuing under Already issued, with who has confirmed. The Not acknowledged view in the library shows what is still outstanding.
If you set a date, readers are reminded three days before. The day after it passes, they are told it is overdue, and you get one notification listing who has not read it.
Chasing again is a new issuing, not an edit of the old one — each is its own record.
