Your first sign-in
From the invitation email to the workspace. It takes a few minutes, once, and afterwards signing in is a single touch.
Open the invitation
Section titled “Open the invitation”You will receive an email titled Set up your Wingcert sign-in for your airline, sent on behalf of the person who invited you.
-
Open the email and select Set up sign-in.
-
You arrive at Set up your passkey. Your name, work email and airline are shown, so you can check the invitation really is for you.
Choose how you will sign in
Section titled “Choose how you will sign in”On your own laptop, tablet or phone: a passkey
Section titled “On your own laptop, tablet or phone: a passkey”-
Under Name this device, type something you will recognise later, such as
Work laptop. -
Select Create passkey. Your device asks for your fingerprint, face or screen lock.
-
That’s it. Wingcert never sees your fingerprint or face — your device keeps those, and only tells Wingcert that it recognised you.
On a remote desktop or a shared machine: an authenticator app
Section titled “On a remote desktop or a shared machine: an authenticator app”A passkey cannot reach you through a remote desktop (RDP, Citrix and similar), because the browser is running on a server, not on the machine in front of you. Choose Use an authenticator app instead. The full steps are in Use an authenticator app.
Then, optionally, a PIN
Section titled “Then, optionally, a PIN”Next you are offered Choose a PIN: six digits for stepping back to a terminal during your shift. You can select Skip for now and set one later from your account — but until you do, you sign in fully each time. See Your six-digit PIN.
The pre-flight checks
Section titled “The pre-flight checks”The first time you open the compliance workspace, it greets you with Welcome aboard and a boarding pass: your airline, who invited you, the job you were given, and how many checks are left. Each check is short, and everything you enter can be changed later in your profile.
| Check | What you do |
|---|---|
| How should we show you? | Tell colleagues what to call you, choose your timezone, and optionally add a photo. Your full name comes from WingcertID. |
| Is this your job? | Confirm the job you were filed under — it decides what you can do here. Select That’s right, or This isn’t right: whoever set you up is told, and you carry on working. |
| Your signature | Draw or upload your signature (a PNG) and the title you sign under. It is printed on what you certify — reports, acknowledgements, tests. Tick the confirmation and select Adopt this signature. |
| Your flight bag | Only if your airline asks new starters to read something. Select Read it for each document, then Sign. Finish unlocks once everything is signed. |
When every check is complete you will see You have control, followed by the modules your job opens.
