New starter reading
What everybody joining reads and signs before the workspace opens — chosen once, issued on the morning they actually start.
Open People & access › New starters. Under Before the workspace opens, tick the documents everybody joining must read — the confidentiality policy, the safety policy, the MOE. Narrow any of them to particular jobs; naming none means everybody. Select Save.
How it is issued
Section titled “How it is issued”You choose documents, never revisions. When somebody reaches the reading step of their first sign-in, each document is issued to them against whichever revision is in force that morning — never the one that was in force when you ticked the box. You never have to come back and update this when a manual is revised.
It is issued when they arrive, not when they are invited, so it follows the job they actually hold on the day.
Their confirmations are ordinary read-and-sign records, the same as any issue for reading — so “has this person read the MOE?” has one answer.
Being told to read is permission to read
Section titled “Being told to read is permission to read”Somebody issued a document can open that revision even if their job does not otherwise open the library. Downloading a copy still needs the library permission.
