Setting up Audits
Nine steps, each saying what it is for and why it matters. Until grades exist, no finding can be raised — Wingcert tells you where to set them up.
Open Audits › Setup and select Start with numbering. Each step ends with Save and continue; you can come back to any of them.
-
Numbering — the prefixes and style of audit and finding numbers. Numbers are never given twice.
-
Finding grades — your airline’s own. Start from a scheme you recognise — EASA levels, IOSA, or Major / Minor / Observation — with Create these grades, then adjust; or Add grade one by one. Each grade has a permanent code, its deadlines for a plan and for closing, the kinds of action it requires, a weight for the risk index, and the audit kinds it applies to. Grades are retired, never deleted.
-
Who answers, by area — the post that answers findings for each department.
-
Root causes — a list in Parameters, offered as a starting template. Build the list in Parameters or Adjust in Parameters.
-
Targets — for the figures on Insights, each with a reason. There are no defaults. An alert level on the wrong side of its target is refused.
-
Signals — how sensitive the detectors are: Cautious, Balanced or Quiet, and the post told when a new signal appears.
-
Auditor criteria — the training, trainee audits and assessment an auditor needs. See Auditors.
-
Supplier criteria — what a supplier is evaluated against. See Suppliers.
-
Check and finish — what is set, what is missing.

Section titled “Other settings”Also on Setup:
- Chasing — how many days before a plan is due it is chased.
- Smallest sample — below this many records, a rate reads too few to say.
